Pick the Right Seat Depth For Your Body

Your armrests should be the same height as your resting elbow height to prevent discomfort. Make sure the chair you purchase has armrests that can be adjusted to your preferred width and height.

At all times, your shoulders and upper arms should be in line with your torso and perpendicular to the floor. When in this position, your shoulders and upper arms should be relaxed. They should not be elevated or stretched forward.

As for the Back Rest, it should follow the natural curve of your back. The majority of office chairs resemble a “S” shape curve to conform to the natural shape of chair occupants.
Avoid backrests that are fixed in place. These types of backrests do not properly support the natural shape of tall or short users. With an adjustable backrest, you will be able to position your chair’s backrest to meet the shape of your spine.
