About Edwards and Hill

HISTORY

Founded in 1998 by Managing Partner Tony Hill and Partner Hans Edwards, the company began with an emphasis on multimedia - producing training videos, organizing business conventions, and creating marketing campaigns. 

Changes in market demand have in recent years brought about more of an emphasis on the office furniture arm of the company.  Edwards & Hill is a leading office planner and supplier, able to install one cubicle with its applicable furnishings and computer hardware, yet equally adept at installing hundreds of cubicles, performing re-location and re-configuration services, including workstations, multiple offices, chairs, filing cabinets, and more.

THE PARTNERS

Both Mr. Hill and Mr. Edwards bring over 20 years accounting, advertising, public relations, marketing, technical, web design, project management, office space planning and interior design experience to the company.

Tony Hill, Managing Partner 

Throughout an ever-evolving and creative career, Mr. Hill has become a leader in the interior design and office space planning industry.  Representing dozens of furniture manufacturers, he can re-configure an existing space or start with a clean slate to create a space that is aesthetically pleasing, as well as comfortable and productive for those who use it.

Holding a B.A. in Telecommunications from Morgan State University, Mr. Hill has spent much of his career, nearly two decades in radio and more than a decade in television, developing expertise in on and off air writing, producing and promotions, and providing talent. He even appears as a motivational speaker and arbitrator at area Public schools and private companies.  

He has worked as Marketing Director for 2 CBS/Viacom Radio Stations, including Heaven 600 (Rated #1 Contemporary Gospel Station in the country).  He has built major events from the ground up, including concerts with internationally renowned recording artists.

During his time as Director of Media and Promotions for ZGS Communications, Inc., he was involved in advertising campaigns for the U.S. Financial Management Service (FMS), the U.S. Secret Service, and a nationwide program for The American Association of Retired Persons (AARP).

On behalf of Edwards & Hill, Mr. Hill has been involved in restructuring, implementing and facilitating the Employee Orientation and Retention Program for the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority.  As a certified Product Specialist, he has managed events around the US for Thompson Marketing on behalf of Mercedes Benz USA and Stryker Pharmaceuticals.  He was also involved for more than two years in the production of all weekly corporate video newsletters for the Rite Aid Corporation.  Over the past 25 years, he worked regularly with Sage Productions on behalf of Home and Garden Television (HGTV), Genesis Elder care Network News, and CNN Headline News, as host of Comcast Newsmakers. 

Traveling the country as well as abroad over the years has given Mr. Hill great insight into the entertainment and marketing worlds.  His keen sense of what moves people to action serves as the secret ingredient to developing multi-faceted campaigns and creating beautifully functional work spaces that meet or exceed the expectations of our clients.

Hans Edwards, Partner

For over eleven years, Mr. Edwards, has managed many office furniture and interior design projects for government customers around the country including but not limited to Ft. Meade, Ft. Detrick, Langley AFB, Ft. Belvoir, Ft. Eustis, Aberdeen Proving Ground and Ft. Carson. Mr. Edwards has also managed many commercial projects for such customers as Comcast and his company’s largest project to date was managing the delivery, warehousing and installation of all of the guestroom furniture in the 2000 room Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at the National Harbor. The Gaylord National is the largest non-gaming convention hotel on the eastern seaboard.

Before starting his company, Mr. Edwards worked as a software engineer for BAE Systems supporting DOD, Department of State and other government products using the C programming language; an experience which enhanced his analytical and technical writing skills. With over 11 years of project management experience, software development experience, marketing experience, web development experience and over 10 years of experience working in the entertainment industry as an actor, Mr. Edwards has the drive, knowledge and the diverse skills needed to make any client project a success. Mr. Edwards is a graduate of the University of Maryland at College Park and holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and takes great pride in being able to give back to his local community.

His company recently donated all new office furniture plus move and installation services to the new office of the Young Audiences (www.YAmd.org) non-profit organization which works to bring arts in education to at-risk or disadvantaged children in underserved Maryland schools.
